Phillies wins NLCS Game 5 VS Dodgers, moves to World Series

The Philadelphia Phillies are going back to the World Series after a big win VS LA Dodgers, 10-4. Now, the Phillies are awaiting the winner of the Yankees-Angels ALCS series, which the Yankees are just one win away also to the World Series. The Phillies are trying to be first National League team to win back-to-back World Series since the 1975-76 Reds. The Dodgers fought hard in Game 5 of the NL Championship Series at Citizens Bank Park, but they just couldn't handle the brilliant play of Philadelphia.

It was the two-home run by Victorino, and a solo-homer by Werth that blew the game wide open for the Phillies, who took an 9-3 lead at that point. The Phillies await the winner of the Yankees vs. Angels ALCS series, which I predict will be won by the Yanks within the next three games or less.

SEC Officials suspended | Why were Marc Curles, referees suspended by SEC?

Just recently, it was reported that a number of football officials or referees, were suspended by SEC. Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced recently that they have suspended officiating crew involved in two recent controversial decisions. SEC Commissioner, Mike Silve, made the announcement Wednesday night.

"A series of calls that have occurred during the last several weeks have not been to the standard that we expect from our officiating crews. I believe our officiating program is the best in the country. However, there are times when these actions must be taken.", said Silve.

Here are the two scenarios / plays questioned by SEC, thus resulting to suspension of the officiating referees:

1) With Arkansas trying to hold off unbeaten Florida Saturday, a personal foul penalty was called on Razorbacks defensive lineman Malcolm Sheppard (Gators won after a touchdown).

2) The same crew made an unquestionable unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called during the Georgia-LSU contest in early October.

I think the suspension will last for just two weeks after Mike Silve revealed that Marc Cules and the other suspended refs were rescheduled from officiating an Oct. 31 game to a game on Nov. 14.

Mia Michaels Cancer | Does Mia Michaels Have Cancer?

The top news of the hour is the report that Mia Michaels, a choreographer from SYTYCD, has cancer. This arises after Mia Michaels hair seems to be becoming bald, indications of chemotherapy treatments. On the latest interview done with Mia Michaels, it doesn't reveal Mia Michaels have cancer. Instead, Mia Michaels answers about the popular breast cancer dance from SYTYCD last season.

When Mia Michaels was asked if she thinks the dancers have an advantage when the choreographers give them a dance that has a serious story behind it, like the addiction piece or Tyce Diorio’s breast cancer dance, Mia Michaels issued the following statements:

It really depends on the choreography. You can take any concept and make it good or make it bad. You have to be very careful about how you tell the story with dance — if it’s too literal, it’s too corny. Does it help if it’s done well? Absolutely. But it’s not done well if it doesn’t do anything. I don’t think anything will ever be awful on the show, because you have professional choreographers, and other than like three pieces that were awful in all five seasons, that’s a pretty low percentage. When you do your craft for so long as all these choreographers have done it, it’s not going to be tragic. It might not work, the magic might not be there one week, but it’s still going to be a solid piece of work. Does a story help? Yeah, but if it’s not choreographed well … that’s the thing, people have realized that no matter how good the dancers are, if you don’t have great choreography, it doesn’t matter. But if you have great choreography and not so great dancers, that is fine too — choreography can hide your weaknesses and show your strengths.
