National night Out 2009 | National Night Out Against Crime 2009

National Night Out Against Crime 2009 is an annual event sponsored by National Association of Town Watch (NATW). The National Night Out 2009 will happen this August 4, 2009 (8/4/2009) and is now open for registration at nationaltownwatch.org. For those of you who haven't heard of the National Night Out, here's a brief description of the event:

National Night Out is a US and Canadian community-police partnership held the first Tuesday of every August since 1984. National Night Out 2009 will be the 26th time this event will happen. It was developed by Matt Peskin of the National Association of Town Watch.

Communities have to option to have a night-vigil or have a block party to bring their neighborhood together. So if you have nothing to do tonight, just join the National Night Out 2009 which will surely be blowout!
