Paula Abdul Quits American Idol

Reports are saying that Paula Abdul is quitting as a judge from FOX American Idol. For the past eight seasons, Paula Abdul has brought color on American Idol as a judge who is always at the side of the contestant, negating absurd comments by co-judge Simon Cowell. If it is indeed true that Paula Abdul will not return next American Idol Season, it would be a challenge for Fox and the show to find a good replacement for her.

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return” to Fox’s singing contest, Abdul said on her Twitter account. “I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon.”
