Tonight, marvel at the latest wonders of the sky. As there will be a series of Meteor Showers for the date October 20 (October 21 in other areas) 2009. This rare phenomenon is also known as the Orionid Meteor Shower (orionids for short). Why Orionid? Its simply because orionid meteor shower will be visible near the constellation, Orion. This is an annual event, but this year, the Meteor Rain Shower will be witnessed from October 17-25, and at its peak produces from 30-200 meteors per hour. Many say that the best time to see the meteor shower is tonight, between midnight and 5:30 a.m, with the absolute peak expected at 3am.
